"I was a treasure trove of interesting things, once someone turned up to be interested in them.
I was sitting here for several minutes trying co come up with an elaborate sentence that would encompass how much I loved this book. But then, there is no other way to put it - I just really loved this book! It was super funny but also touching. Even though this book contains all of the ingredient you would expect from a chick-lit novel, it actually reads as a literary fiction. Mhairi McFarlane has a very distinctive and unique writing style that's very satisfing to read. Usually, I am amused in my mind, without expressing it on the outside. But this book was just something else. I had the best time during reading it. The only thing is that I could've done with more romance. Mhairi McFarlane does write romantic tension like nobody else. It makes you feel all the feelings and more, so it really is a shame that she is so scarce with it. Although, the amazing ending made up for it. It was to die for...
