Contemporary-a-Thon TBR

Happy Friday to everyone,

I am here today to share with you my TBR pile for the upcoming Contemporary-a-Thon that takes place during the last week of September (23rd - 29th). I participated in the last one back in February, and it was fun, so I decided to do it again. I hope I'll have asomewhat laid-back week so I can truly immerse myself in the reading, but I'll try to make the best of it regardless. As always, I'll post my reading updates here on my blog for those of you, who are interested. If you are also participating, let me know where I can watch your reading progress. I'm sure I'll be back with some other posts before the readathon starts, but if not, I wish you a happy reading...

My TBR Pile:

Read, White and Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston - What with this book being praised by everybody over the summer it was an obvious choise for me to read during the contemporary-a-thon, especially since I can check challenge number one, three, four and seven with it. I have a feeling that it will live up to all the hype, and I am ready to be swept off my feet by a beautiful love story.

All the Bad Apples by Moïra Fowley-Doyle - Now, I have yet to read any book by this author but I've heard so many great things about her books, that I've always wanted to. All the Bad Apples is her newest novel and it seems like a delishiously haunting story perfect for the autumn. So even though it's not a pure contemporary as it has magical realism in it as well, I though I would include it in my TBR in order of getting some proper chills as the October approches. With this book I will check challenges number five and six.

In Paris With You by Clémentine Beauvais - I am super excited to read this book as it was originally written in French. The story is loosely based on the Eugene Onegin by Alexander Pushkin. But what really intrigues me is that it's written in verse just like the aforementioned classic work. I love books that take place in Paris, but haven't read any in ages, so I have really high hopes for this one. With it's yellow spine and title, this book will complete the second challenge.
