Christmas Spirit and December TBR

December has finally come, which allows me to talk Christmas all the time, without people giving me annoyed faces in response. The truth is that I carry Christmas within me from the beginning of September. Every year I find the waiting for the holidays too long and I am usually eager to start with the decorating and baking from the very first day of November. Today I am actually going to pick up our Christmas tree along with my brother.  And I sincerely can't wait to adorn it with all the decorations I collected over the years. Oh, it's gonna be fun. I've already done most of the baking, which means that I am going to have a lot of time for reading during December. Which is great because I have to catch up with my reading challenge on Goodreads. I was in a reading slump-ish state lately, but I am really excited for all the Christmassy books on my TBR list. 

Last year I read this gorgeous book called The Twelve Dates of Christmas by Lisa Dickenson. It was such a sweet and funny story, full of Christmas magic, that I loved. And so I decided to try another book by this author that is Mistletoe on 34th Street, which I am currently reading. Then I would like to read a Christmas sequel to the Welcome to Rosie Hopkins' Sweet Shop of Dreams by Jenny Colgan as well as A Christmas Kiss by Vicky Pattinson. I would also love to dip my nose into some Christmas mystery from the quill of Agatha Christie and try some new stories by Charles Dickens, such as What Christmas Is, As We Grow Older or The Chimes. Continuing with the classics I'd like to read two books from Penguin Christmas Classics collection, The Life and Adventures of Santa Claus by L. Frank Baum and The Nucracker by E. T. A. Hoffmann. And last but not least I want to read Young Adult novel called EX-MAS by Kate Brian, which I think is going to be super fun. Well, it's quite a lot of books, so wish me luck. But of course I have to do many other things too, like, for example marathon all of my favourite Christmas movies or visit Christmas market in the city, so it's okay if I don't read all of them. The Christmas spirit is the most important part of it anyway...
