January Book Photo Challenge - Part IV

Hello my dear readers,
so I am finally here with the last part of the January Book Photo Challenge. I know it was actually due to be posted yeasterday. But when I make such promises, I am almost always bond to break them. I apologize for the delay, but without further ado, lets get started...

22. Debut Novel

This one was pretty easy because the debut novel called How I Live Now and written by the amazing Meg Rosoff is actually one of my all time favourite books. Oh, such a great story. I have goosebumps just thinking about it now. How I Live Now is a perfect proof that debut novels can be just as fabulous as any other books that come after that. I love everything about this book - the setting, the whole idea, all the main characters, the atmosphere and the writing style. It's just blown my mind. I can't recommend it enough to you, guys. Simply awesome!

23. Satire

I love Austenland by Shannon Hale. It's not just a retelling of Jane Austen. It's also, like, an overlook at fandom as it is. This book is simply hilarious. I was laughing out loud practically all the time I was reading it. But I found myself in it, too. There was also this kind of cheesy love story going on behind the whole charade of Austenland, which I actually adored. Definitely one of the best fanfictions I've ever read...

24. Old Fave

I've read One Day by David Nichols more than four years ago, so I could consider it as my old favourite, I suppose. But even though it's kind of a long time now, I still remember every detail from this book. I love it entirely. It's one of the greatest and most beautiful love stories I've read so far. I am planning on re-reading it soon and am ready to have my heart broken all over again...

25. Diverse

Between the Lines by Jodi Picould and Samatha Van Leer is surely one of the most diverse books that sit on my shelves. For it tells story about this girl who falls in love with a prince about whom she reads in her favourite book. And it's about them trying to find a way to be together. So along with the story of the main character, you also read chapters from the book in which the prince is living. It's kind of complicated. It'd be better if you just went and read it. It's such a funny and lovely book. Definitely one of my favourites...

26. New Adult

I am not that much of a fan of New Adult books, but I love those written by Colleen Hoover. She writes such amazing stories that usually stay with me longer than any other New Adult novels, or Young Adult for that matter. She's just great. Definitely give her books a go, if you haven't already. I am pretty sure, you won't be disappointed...

27. Stereotype

These covers with kissing couples, that we so often see on Nicholas Sparks' books, are pretty stereotyped, if  you ask me. I really don't like them at all. And I think it's actually for the worse that they still use them nowadays. If I wouldn't know that Nicholas Sparks' novels are so much more than that, I would probably pass his books when in bookshop. Nonetheless, I have to admit that, though some of the covers are super cheesy, they have a lot of atmosphere to them, which is nice...

28. Sequel

I absolutely loved The Rosie Project by Graeme Simsion. It's been three years since I've read it, and I still haven't gotten to the sequel called The Rosie Effect. I am planning to remedy that soon, though, for I belive it's going to be just as good...

29. One Word Title

I am not gonna lie, guys, Wanderlost by Jen Malone was totally a cover buy, but I am really interested to see what it is about, too. I've been kind of saving it for warmer days, so hopefully the winter won't be long, for I can't wait to read this book...

30. Freebie

Since I've had the liberty of taking a picture of whatever I wanted, I decided to share with you one of the colouring plates, showing Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth Bennet on a walk, from the Jane Austen Colouring Book that I've been working on time to time. It's fun and I absolutely adore the pictures in this book...

31. Read This Month

I have had a pretty good reading month, I should think. I fell into a reading slump throughout the second part of January, but I still managed to read five books in total, so I am satisfied. And the books were amazing too, which is what makes me happy the most...
